SATHYA VEDA SEMINARY

Sathya Veda Seminary is an esteemed Biblical organization aimed at Training and equipping committed men and women from the remote villages of India who are willing to serve the people in need. We provide Spiritual and Academic training to the committed candidates to catch up the vision and to become responsible citizens of the nation and the Kingdom. It was started in the year 2001 and is located in the capital city of Kerala, South India. Currently we train over 200 students and the graduates are vibrantly working as missionaries in different remote villages of India, contributing towards the holistic transformation of the Society. 450 missionaries are working with our sister organization which is called New Covenant Ministries.

SVS came to exist in the year 2001 as the partial fulfillment of the vision in the heart of Dr. Gnanadas Danam which was birthed in 1994. While studying at SABC, he got a burden and concern for the marginalized and out casted once in the land of India which propelled his heart to work for their holistic development. As a result of this, a charitable trust was registered on 15th May 2001 called "Global Socio Educational and Charitable Trust" and a training center was started by the name 'Sathya Veda Seminary', to equip and send people for the community and social development in India and South Asia. SVS started functioning in a hired building at Trivandrum with seven students. The first graduation was done in 2004, and afterwards every year new graduates are sent out to different unreached villages of India.
This training program started to grow and graduates moved to different regions, contributing towards the moral and spiritual life of common people in India. After a long period of prayer and tireless effort, by God’s grace we were able to buy 1 ½ acres land in 2010 and now it has become 4 acres, where Satya Veda Seminary is now functioning.

A three storied building with a roof top has been constructed with all the required facilities of Library, class - rooms, office, dormitory etc. A team of well qualified and committed faculty under the fabulous leadership of
Dr. Gnanadas Danam the Director, works tirelessly to cater the vision and ethos of the institution.

The institution has gained a good reputation in Indian mission spectrum. Student community represents almost all states of India with a roll of 200 are being trained every year. The courses offered are Certificate in Theology, C.P.T(Church Planters training), Diploma in Theology, Bachelor of Theology and Master of Divinity. The graduates are into various spheres of life getting on to become better community developers and social transfers imparting the knowledge of God’s unchanging Word to impact the lives of people.

MASTER OF DIVINITY

Master of Divinity program is a comprehensive graduate theological program that is designed to prepare students for full-time service in the church of Jesus Christ. The curriculum is designed to instruct students in the study of theology in its widest sense, so that they may grow in the knowledge of God, discover and develop their God-given gifts and become persons with passion and desire to evangelize through clear and winsome biblical exposition, outreach, and mission service.

BACHELOR OF THEOLOGY (B.TH)

Bachelor of Theology is a three year graduate level course designed for young people who have completed the age of 18 years and have passed 12th class. They should have a deep commitment to Christian service.

DIPLOMA IN CHRISTIAN MINISTRY (Dip.CMN)

It is a two year course designed for matured candidates. These candidates should be above 25years old and must be in the ministry for at least three years. DCM does not need any previous educational qualification of any sort. If a candidate comes out with a first class mark, he may be qualified to join for M.Div. program.

CERTIFICATE IN THEOLOGY

Admission Procedure

To apply for admission, obtain an application form and prospectus from SVS by post, or from our website (www.svsindia.org). Send the filled-in application form along with supporting documents (see below the list of supporting documents) and demand draft for Rs.100.00 drawn in favour of Sathya Veda Seminary, payable at Thirumalla.

ADMISSION DEADLINE

SVS requires entrance examinations and a personal interview with all applicants before deciding on admission. The interviews will be held at SVS in the 1st week of May (1st session) and in the 3rd week of May (Final session). The entrance exams are conducted after the students complete 2 weeks of academic orientation at SVS.

TYPICAL ACADEMIC YEAR

SVS will accept only those whose requisite theological degrees are from colleges or seminaries accredited by the Asia Theological Association, or other institutions recognized by ATA. In other cases applicants may be required to take additional Qualifying examinations

DDC catalog is displayed to students in library, computers are available to search books, assistant librarian and staffs will help the students to get the books.

SVS has a placement. This is the specialty of Sathya Veda Seminary. Our ministry is called New Covent Ministries. It is compulsory that every student of SVS should do a minimum of two years ministry (Those who want full Scholarship). After the graduation the mission coordinator appoint the graduates in to the different unreached villages of India. Every state we have mission coordinators. They will help the graduating students to find possible placements The placement cell co-ordinates campus interviews on campus and thereby help the graduates find placement. Since 2004, our graduates serve in different parts of India under NCM. Few of our graduates serving God as District Pastors. Some of our graduates working as Pastors in many Churches The vision of the founder is train young men and send them to the unreached villages of India. Thus we have yet started such steps. However, they can come to SVS campus they can continue their studies like from Dip.Th to B.Th, from B.Th to M.Div
